Running Your Pump and Filter
- Run pool pump 1 hour per day for every 10 degrees of air temperature
- If average monthly temperature is 90 degrees, run single-speed pump 9 hours a day
- Total number of pump hours doesn't have to be consecutive
- In summer, run pump when the sun is hitting the water or hottest part of day
- In winter, run pump at coldest time of day to avoid equipment damage
- 2-speed pumps should run the same number of hours per day as single speed
- Have high speed on during the hottest / coldest hours of the day / night
- Variable speed pumps can run up 24 hours a day as they're energy efficient

Proper Water Balance and Sanitation
- Bring water sample to us every 2 weeks during season or as needed
- During off-season, bring water sample once a month
